Conjoined twins ready for first year of school

When these twin girls were born, their parents were almost desperate. Since the 16th week in the womb, Rub and Rosie were conjoined by their bellies. They shared one intestine. Doctors recommended doing an urgent surgery right after the birth to separate the twins.

However, the parents of the girls knew: they do not have many chances to survive. The operation was performed in London and the twins survived it. Look how these adorable girls have grown!

They are getting ready to go to school and start their first year. Here is what the happy mother says:

“Four years ago it wasn’t in my mind that this would ever happen. When I was pregnant I didn’t think I’d ever see their first day at school so it is really amazing and all thanks to God really.”

The babies had to endure 5 hour surgery and stayed 3 more weeks in the hospital to recover. However, now nothing indicates these girls were once conjoined twins. They have an exciting and happy life and hopefully will do well in school. Let’s wish them luck and blessings!
