Sanusi said now was the time to involve all forward-thinking individuals to seek way out of the recession that had hit the country and seriously affecting Nigerians, Daily Post reports. The Emir on Tuesday, September 13, revealed that many Nigerian ‘big men’ live pretentious lives as they exist on loan from banks.Sanusi also urged wealthy Nigerians to support the less-privileged in the society in order to alleviate their sufferings, adding that Nigerians “irrespective of religious beliefs and political inclinations, should continue to pray for economic growth and development of the country”. President Buhari had earlier blamed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for economic recession, saying his anti-corruption war is not unfair. The president in yet another message to Nigerians in Daura after Sallah prayers on Monday, September 12, said that PDP made a mess of the country in its 16 years in power. He said: ‘‘I want Nigerians to realise that what this government inherited after 16 years of the PDP government was no savings, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security.
