The "Bride Price should be scrapped" Argument

Each time I see this "Bride Price should be scrapped" argument trending from a clique on my timeline, I just nod my small head.

I have never understood their skewed argument.

It actually baffles me how people think their opinion is superior. Because its coming from you? LOL!!

If payment of Dowry gives the man a sense of entitlement(thereby a breeding ground for domestic violence and abuse),

How come cultures where women pay groom's price treat women WORSE than us? 

How come cultures/clime with no payment of bride price are more violent domestically towards their partners than us?

The Pastor Who Got Stuck In Shrine While Trying To Destroy It!!!

There is this story in the Punch Newspaper today about a "Pastor" that got stucked somewhere in a shrine belonging to Africa Traditional Religion (A.T.R) worshipers in Ogun state when he attempted to destroy the shrine. 

Some concluded he is "fake pastor", which may largely be false. He might be a "True pastor" who just went on an errand God didn't send him.

Its very unfortunate that in Nigeria, we have come to associate SHRINE with A.T.R but the Catholic Church also has shrines too.

You see what we call "Grottos" in Catholic Churches in Nigeria, is actually SHRINE... MARIAN SHRINE........that's what its called in the Vatican.

There're also shrine belonging to "saints" where devotees go to offer prayers. Even the Pope

Young people and the Missing Ribs

One of the problems with young people these days is the idea that there is a partner God has chosen for them.

Brothers and Sisters,

Wake up.

God does not choose life partners for anybody neither does he create a particular member of the opposite sex just for you.

This is the reason why some young people rush to their pastors for prayers to see if the person they are with is THE CHOSEN ONE.

This is why some are still single......they are waiting for the person they will meet and angel Michael will come and sound the trumpet in their ears that "this is the one"

The Nigerian Pastor By Chijioke Anyacho

The Nigerian Pastor won't talk about Usain Bolt or Serena Williams.
They won't talk about late Dora Akunyili or Tony Elumelu.
The Nigerian pastor wont talk about Steve Jobs or the young people in Silicon Valley reshaping our world.
They won't talk about young American scientists spending endless hours in search of a cure to a disease that's predominantly in the Tropical African region.
The Nigerian pastor won't talk about Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie or Ben Okri.

In every corner of the world, there exist young men and women who has defiled all odds and became successful through hard work, creativity and dedication...
The Nigerian pastor wont talk about them......neither will he ask his members to emulate the spirit of these individuals.

He would rather talk about sister Agatha who got a job she WAS NOT THE MOST QUALIFIED because she prayed and fasted in line with their church program.
Or
Brother John who became a millionaire because he used all his salary as a seed in the church.
Or
Papa Miracle who he laid his hands on and 3 of his children got admission in the university
Or
